Agrobiotechnological products are formulations of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi, combined or alone) that are added to the agricultural crops to improve their health and productivity, as well as the quality of the harvested fruits. Although, in a broad sense, we can differentiate two basic types of biological products, biopesticides and biofertilizers, a clear difference between these ones is complicated in the light that a microorganism can possess mechanisms that can placed it in both categories. A biopesticide is a biological product developed to control diseases, while a biofertilizer, also known as bioinoculant, microbial inoculant or soil inoculant, is an agrobiotechnological product that is added to the agricultural crops to improve their nutritional status and, consequently, the growth and productivity of the plants.
Is a biofertilizer that is produced under the strictest quality standards, so that it has sanitary authorization of the Mexican Government for commercialization (COFEPRIS). This biotechnological product is an economic and ecological option for significantly increase crop productivity, improve quality of agricultural products and reduce the contamination caused by the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
It is a biofertilizer composed by an efective consortium of different strains from the Trichoderma fungus that favours the productivity and health of the crops through different action mechanisms such as phosphorus, iron and other elements assimilation, which are very important for development and activation of the plant defense systems.
